How to get leaves off netting?

I bought netting to cover our run earlier this year...and have been loving it. Right up until now when its gathering all the leaves falling from the trees and starting to sag some.

What's the easiest way to get fallen leaves off of netting? The peak of the netting is high enough its out of our reach without a ladder. And even if it was within reach, picking every single leaf off by hand would be tedious...so I'm really hoping there is an easier option I haven't thought of!

A leaf blower? As long as your net was attached securely, you could stand inside the pen and blow the leaves off from the inside.

Kind of depends on what it looks like, how strong the netting is, and how it is attached. Maybe what kind of leaves and how big the holes are in the netting. Sounds like it might be peaked and not totally flat. My first thought was also a leaf blower. I could see maybe shaking it or just hitting it from underneath with a broom or such.

That's what I did. It was the cheap deer netting and debris would tangle in it, so really only bought time. In total it lasted about a year before it was too much and I tore it out, but by then it had served its purpose. I like the leaf blower idea.

I bounce it off to the side in places, and other places where there are seams, I make openings and drop the piles of leaves thru. (Which I have bounced onto that area.). It can be a bit tedious, but I love having the run carpeted in fall leaves. Also, I don’t want accumulation for when ice and snow arrive. I am still loving using the bird netting in spite of leaves.

x3 on photos. I have 2" openings on my netting, and a weeping willow overhanging the run. I pull a ladder in there each fall (just did it this past Tues) and clip any branches dangling in. With 2" openings I can reach up and pull small and medium branches through the netting, and whacking the netting loosens smaller leaves/branches. I also have the netting installed so there's a seam in the center, so for large branches I can cut off the zip ties to gain access to those.
