The only chick I ever had who I could pick up anytime was an easter egger. She would stand on my boots. Sit on my shoulder. The only reason she was so tame was I had to take her to the vet several times, and I picked her up a lot even though she didn't approve.

Put down a towel or something to sit on and hangout in there run with them. Bring treats and when one comes up to you reward it with treats. If they run wen you reach out to pet them they need more time. I have a few I can never pet and one or two who will let me scoop them up and carry them around in my arm lll
