How?give her a BATH!!!!
Just gently soften the poop with a damp washcloth and gently slide chunks off the feather. If it Is not coming off you may want to trim off the large bits With scissors. One of my girls has poop stuck on her but what's the best way to get it off?
Thanks I'll try itJust gently soften the poop with a damp washcloth and gently slide chunks off the feather. If it Is not coming off you may want to trim off the large bits With scissors.
I should have specified that I only cut the tips off, and I can usually crush any clumps to get them off without cutting. And I do bathe if it's a lot of poop. Don't want irritated skin or cold bums.I dont recommend cutting too much fluff and feathers off her rear end. If you cut them back too much, urates in feces will scald her skin causing redness, swelling and irritation.
If it's warm where you live, use a garden hose with a sprayer and spray the feces off her rear end, then pat dry with an old rag and release her.
If it's still too cold outside, you'll have to bathe her as mentioned.
