I would just enjoy it in as many forms as you want (ie. home made frozen custard...no icecream maker even needed), and invite others over who share your love of it. This may perk up curiousity and they may try it that way, or ease them into it. You could also hold an honest discussion about the process and benefits of non-commercial milk, but keep it a discussion, not a shaming session. A lot of people seem to get into something that they are involved in directly (like your husband and eggs from your chickens). Maybe see if a farm will allow you guys to at least observe a milking process, etc, would help.
I used to hate milk myself. I had a really, really hard time digesting it as a kid. Some dairy products (especially typical store bought milk) seem to have contributed to my allergies to just about every antibiotic (those allergies were confirmed through testing...seems to be more common as antibiotics we give industrialized farmed animals come through the products), cause me to break out (probably due to added hormones as I am suckily sensitive to hormone changes...iodine does the same thing as it effects the thyroid and thus hormones), and gives me stomach pains though not as badly as when I was a child. Milk from more natural farm settings I can handle a lot better, but it still gives me digestion issues. I just made sure to get calcuim from other sources, like some plants. I used to hate goat milk because of the taste...but now love the taste and love that it doesn't give me any of the above problems. We can even get it raw here, and it tastes absolutely amazing! But yeah, no one could force me to drink that stuff. XP
