How to give liquid vitamins?

I keep reading about giving liquid vitamins (like tri-vi-sol, poly-vi-sol,etc.) to young chicks in their water, but how much vitamins to what quantity of water?

Make sure it's without iron. I use 1ml per quart(4cups) of water.
