How to give medicine to a duck? Soft eggs

Hello,

A vet has prescribed ronidazole to 2 of our ducks, since they have been laying soft eggs, sometimes have fluorescent green poo, and fecal analysis shows giardia and tritricomonas.

I need to give them 1 ml per duck per day.
1. Does anyone have any advice as to how?

I don't want to just put it in their drinking water, since they spill a lot and I'm not sure they'd drink it. I'd rather inject it, but how to get them to hold still and open their bills? I'll try swaddling them so they don't squirm or flap their wings. Squeezing the side of their bills as for a turkey doesn't seem to get them to open.
If I put it on their food, that's risky too. If they do not like something, they refuse to eat it.

2. Has anyone else ever had giardia or tritricomonas cause soft eggs? The vet wasn't convinced this is the cause, but didn't have any good suggestions as to what else it might be. I've been supplementing with lots of oyster shell, calcium, and vitamin D.

Thanks for any advice.
