I have one full grown chicken left outside, she eats layer pellets. I am going to moving my 7 week old chicks out with her soon. I only have one coop so they have to share the pen and coop. How do I handle the separate feed needs?

Change the main feed to flock raiser / growers feed and put out a separate feeder with oyster shell. Your hen will eat the oyster shell as she feels necessary, but the chicks will ignore it.

When you make the move watch very close so the adult does not peck the chicks to death. You can try putting 1/4 inch metal screen/ wire over the chicks food dish to help prevent adult from eating the starter feed. Also just raise the adults food container high enough so the chicks can not reach it.
