Indio Gigante Lover
Chirping
I have a young hen that has a somewhat crooked neck, kinda curves to the left & mostly when she is at rest. I've seen her reach around to her right with it though to preen herself, so she can move it. It seems to have been an injury from when I was putting her & her brood mates (7 in all) in a box to bring in to a separate area at night before they were integrated with rest of flock. When they were 8-10 wks or so, her 2 brothers were getting pretty large & I think injury happened then. She's 14 wks old now & an Indio Gigante that normally has an extra long neck. They're all integrated with flock now & She runs & plays with her brood mates & eats/drinks normally, but I'm wondering if Vitamin E would help at this point? And if so, how do you give it to a chicken? I've seen posts that say just "pop a Vitamin E soft gel in their mouth", but it doesn't seem that easy - I tried & she just spit it out. I tried opening 1 & putting it on her favorite greens - 1 bite & she refused to eat any more of them. Any suggestions? Thanks!
