How to Grow a Blueberry Bush

I tried growing potatoes here without any success I tried growing them in pots and in the ground I just cant get them to grow.

Try the tater towers, the straw keeps the moisture in really nicely.

Thanks, the better half got the idea off of some youtube video a couple from Ohio had made. Seems to work in Finland too. We have really acidic soil in our yard, so we prefer to utilize these urban gardening solutions. Plus they usually turn out quite pretty.

Completely in hay bales? Or did she have soil inside them too?

I'll have to do that, I have a pretty good idea how they look though. Might consider something similar next year. If I would only have some place to store loads of hay, right now I could pick it up for 1 euro per bale

*Edit* I found the post, they look really nice. I wonder if I could just stack some bales on a pallet under a tarp over winter, might not be usable as bedding but a little bit of decomposing wouldn't hurt for gardening purposes. I'll have to consult the person living here with more aesthetic expectations of what is put in our yard

She might not appreciate the idea of an enormous pile covered with a tarp in the middle of the yard.

That's picked up straight from the field during harvest time. Later they're more expensive and harder to find.
