how to hatch female quail?

The only thing I’ve heard is females are more sensitive to incubation fluctuations and issues, so the best way to get as close to 50/50 as possible is to tweak your incubation techniques so you don’t lose any ladies.

my kids saw a YouTube video of a guy claiming he had an ancient Chinese secret or something, and I’ve heard this from other people as well. He claimed if you choose short round eggs with no point or bump on top, they will all be females. I told my kids, he had no video evidence supporting this, we found no one saying they tried it and it worked etc. so we did a little experiment, we selected 12 eggs over about 6 days, and took only the shortest, roundest, smoothest top ones. Out of those 12, 10 hatched. I’ve been doing some research on sex link’s and experimenting with my line. I strongly felt this group would be sex link’s, and at nearly 5 weeks they are looking like that’s accurate, and my ratio is 50/50 on the dot. One red chick died in the brooder, 4 others are reds, 2 are definite hens, and I’ve heard 2 of the non gingers crow. I consider that myth debunked lol.
