Still searching for adequate protein Quail crumbles

Thank you for all that info @007Sean you are so right; the commercial stuff that is available is mostly corn & soybeans and not enough nutrition; not to mention, typically GMO :tongue. I love that you do that for your birds! You should consider bagging & selling some of your custom feed to some of us hobbyists; many of us would pay a premium price to get some good food for our tiny flocks & it might end up covering some of the expense you incur. Just a thought.
I'm curious, how many quail do you have?
Approximately 500 right now!

Outstanding! That's a full blown operation! How do you keep up with that many? I just noticed you have been raising birds for 57 years!!
If you don't mind, I'm going to pepper you with questions...

Can a quail with mild hip dislocation recover eventually? and is that bird in pain? (even if they dont seem to be)
Do you sell fertile eggs for hatching?
Do you sell adult birds or chicks?
Do you "worm" your birds? (I just found out this is "a thing"; who knew?)
One of my hens seems to have a sort of "vocal" relationship with a Curve Billed Thrasher (native to Sonoran Desert) and they converse EVERY single morning... (ever heard of anything like that?)

No pressure, but respond if it's easy
