I've read keeping the incubator at 37,5C will increase the chance of females,is this true, anything else i can do?

There are a lot of things that people claim will help get hens. One is refrigerating the eggs before incubating for 3-7 days because male embryos are more likely to die off. Others say more rounded eggs will get you hens, but the temperature of your incubator won't change the sex of the bird inside like a retail would.

I can tell you I have done refrigerated eggs and i did get more females than males by one bird. Hatched 7 got 4 hens and 4 drakes. There is no sure fire way to get them via egg.

Chickens are not reptiles. Altering incubation temperature doesn't change the sex of the embryo. It *may* kill off more developing eggs of one gender than another but that would be the only effect.

If you figure this out please let me know. I seem to hatch mostly cockerel, or at least the ones I keep end up being cockerel.. I even bought 4 from TSC one died two were for sure Cockerel and the other just may be also....
