can someone tell me the difference in hatching turkey eggs instead of chicken eggs,
There really is no differance. Turkey eggs just take longer, 28 days.
Yep, the same as chicken eggs but longer.
Also - when they hatch - poults are a little more fragile than chicks. You have to teach them to eat and drink. Be vigilant. Turkey poults look for new ways to die on you every minute of the day.
If you can set some chicken eggs to hatch with the turkeys, they will help the turkeys to learn much quicker, you have to add the chicken eggs about 8 days after the turkeys to co-inside the tow with the hatch..
But i don't recommend anything other than that as far as raising the two together outside of brooding..
when we hatch the two together, i normally separate the chickens and turkeys after the turkeys go it all together.
