1 1/2 old... she is a pandemic chicken. I don’t remember her weight but she isin her breed average and not over weight. I can’t really tell if it is exactly swelling. I am not sure what to look for. No bumblefoot. She is molting right now too. We made everything handicap for her. When they get free range she sits in the shade and eats the grass all around her then moves. Dixie our barred rock is supper mean to her. My vet teacher thinks she might just have early stage arthritis. She is so sweet and I hate for her to in pain. I will look into aspirin for the bad days. How do I use rimadyl? Where can I get it? Is there a brand that I should use?A vet might prescribe meloxicam which is an ant inflammatory drug and helps with pain. They also might consider using rimadyl. Aspirin 1/2 tablet of the 81 mg strength may be used once of twice a day for up to 3 days.
Does she have any swelling of her joints, or any bumblefoot scabs on footpads? How old is she?
I didn't know ACV could help! I'll have to try it!I did a quick search and for other arthritic birds like parrots there were recommendations for heat or cold. Also ACV (related to crystal buildup?) Cayenne pepper was mentioned as well as NSAIDS and Carboryl (sp?)

Here is a good link about rimadyl (carprofen) and dosage for chickens:I do not know if rimadyl is okay to use in chickens. It is okay for dogs and cats. A vet needs to prescribe it if it is okay to use, because bloodwork is usually needed to make sure that the liver is functioning normally. A weight is usually needed for prescribing drugs. A kitchen gram scale is good to use on chickens.
