Dear all,
One of my hens, 10 months old Greta who lives in a rather ok sized cage with a rooster and another hen, has a tendency to put on weight FAST. She is really plump when you touch her chest/belly. For a few weeks we took them into a large pen on the farm and they were ok, however for many reasons I want them to be in the crate again for now.
What do I do for her? Maybe put on a harness and take her for doggy walks with us? What kind of food should I give to help her not become too fat?
I am worried for her. How strange it is that the ones you WANT to put weight on, won't do it, and this gal is just way too chubby.
