How to help ducklings get out of pool?

We have 4 week old ducklings that are now able to get into our pool but have a difficult time getting out. We have paint trays with water but they’re getting curious about swimming.

I do not really want to drain the pool and I do not have room to separate them. I have seen people create ramps.

This is a ramp I added quickly today. We have some bricks we were thinking of adding to the sides to help them get out. Any other ideas/tips?

I sometimes put a rock in the pool, one that comes halfway up the pool wall, they can swim over to it then push off to get out usually. If your pool is very deep, however, one big rock isn't going to cut it.

That's exactly what I used. My ducks seem to do better with stairs than ramps.

Oh good. Because sometimes that’s all they need to get out is just a higher water level.

Your ramp is good might want to keep it from getting slippery add some thin strips of wood for traction or staple the rubber shelf liner on it
