I have a faulty Brinsea Mini Advance that will not go higher than 88 degrees Fahrenheit even after placing it at it's highest setting of 104 degrees. I need some help/tips on how to raise the temperature. I will be calling Brinsea on Monday. I ordered this incubator in May and just discovered that it has a problem raising temperature.

Just called. They gave me instructions on how to reset it and told me to call back in one hour if I still have the same problem.

Still not working...
I set eggs on the 25th under a broody and in the incubator. I realized the incubator wasn't working on day 6 when I candled so I moved the eggs from the incubator to my broody and now she is on eggs due the 15th and 21st...

you know how to make your own brooder? If she leaves the rest after the early ones hatch you might want to try a heat lamp clamped to a storage tote then close and cover with towels. Use a thermometer to see when it stabilizes and cover more or less depending. Mine went up to 115 so I know it's doable. Put in some material or shavings to keep them cozy. Except, you will have to turn them every four hours. You have another broody hen, at six days apart you can't trust the chicks with the older ones. This is made more difficult if you can't be home right.
I clamp the light on the upper edge of one end. at 105 you probably need to insulate the light if it touches the box. Tell us how it all turns out.

This is good to know! Don't know why I never thought of this!! My brooder can get up to 110. So that is great to know if I ever needed to, I could stick an egg in there! Thanks!

Thank you for all your help everyone, it looks like they are going to let me return the incubator. Very nice of them. I am going to try making a brooder as suggested :)
