How to integrate chickens

She seemed fine with that, but this morning I found the box off of her, and all of the ducks plastered to the back of the cage, all perfectly still, with eggs hither and thither, on closer inspection the drake had his wings all bloodied up (he's growing in new feathers so, checking him over, he doesn't seem to have actual wounds outside of broken blood feathers). I think my box strategy wasn't very failsafe, so I think I'll have to pen him up in an entirely separate cage til the babies are hatched and possibly grown. The daughter didn't seem to have been wounded but she has been hiding in the shrubs all day once I let them out. So she may have to be caged with the male.

I washed out the drake's blood feather wounds and doused them with rubbing alcohol, and put him in my bathtub inside so flies wouldn't get on him. He's been there all day and I'm thinking of leaving him there at least until tomorrow, just in case... would that be advisable? I'm very worried about flies because I had a young duck get maggots in his wing from a fight injury (from my previous aggressive male).
