We bought 10 hens in March and another 3 at the beginning of May. They have been kept apart up until this point as we had a family issue come up that kept us from finishing our run and coop. They are currently residing in two chicken tractors. When we first introduced them to the tractors, my husband tried to put both sets in one to see if the new environment would cut down on the bullying but immediately some of the older birds started attacking the young ones. This was a suggestion from a TSC employee but didn't work with our birds.
Our run and coop will be done this weekend and I am wondering what the best way is to introduce the birds to each other that will cut down on the bullying.
TIA for any suggestions you have to share.
