How to keep a blind duck happy and healthy

She’s doing really well finding food and water. The foods in pink dish and water in purple one. I had gotten the buckets for my goose but faith does really well with them

That’s the important thing, and that nobody’s picking on her. My partially blind Pekin is pretty skinny. He does get food, but I don’t think he’s ever gotten a meal worm.

Will he take them from your hand @thumper650
Bless he needs some.
Unfortunately not, when he sees, I think I come out of his blind spot, and he gets startled. He won't let me get close if he sees me coming too. His girlfriend will take them from my hand, and honestly she's kind of a pig and gobbles up anything before he can find it, when he does finally put his bill to the ground. I did see him eat some corn I threw to them yesterday though so that's good.

It’s funny you say about quacking loudly. From my research on Cayuga ducks they supposedly have a quiet quack. But my goodness when Faith is up and around she quacks VERY loudly. Is that why? Is she calling for the other ducks?

My cayuga was the loudest of all my 5 duck breeds. She was always quack/shouting about something. She would quack/shout at me to hurry up and get over with more meal worms, or quack/yell at her flock mates to make sure they were nearby. She didn't understand the concept of an inside voice.

Also, thank you for saving that duck. <3
