how to keep chickens busy in the coop

    what do ya all give are do to keep your chickens happy and busy inside the coop for days they are locked up due to bad bad weather??

    Locked in a coop without run access would be quite challenging. Assuming your coop is large enough - a flock block, treat cages, rig a sand bath. Anything that makes them scratch and peck something other than their flock mates.

    I hang half a head of lettuce or broccoli(or really any vegetable that comes in head form) about an inch above the hens. Or I'll sprinkle some scratch around works like a charm.
