I think elevation and a barrier are key here. I just didn't know if there was some magic goose mojo to keep them out. Thanks for your input

Fencing of some kind for sure. I had some flowers planted in a cast iron bath tub and one day I looked outside to see Greta laying on them. Some geese don't mind a little elevation, it improves the scenery.

My geese fell in love with the strawberry bed. Not eating it, just napping in it-----and squashing the plants out of existence.
