I never treat just one bird. If one gets sick, all of them get treated because they have been exposed, regardless of how good you keep them sepearted. I find that dust and heat breed sickness way more than damp and cold. Seems respiratory issues pop up when it is dryer and I think the dust doesnt help this.
I recently had a respiratory issue and it calmed down as soon as I hosed down my coops and got rid of the dust. I just dont think it is even LOGICAL to change clothes between pens. Small sneezes and colds will occur and truthfully some of this has to happen to build immunity - they may sneeze or cough and it should go away. When it does, you must clean your coops, new bedding, sand, roosts, bleach their waters and feeders, etc. But if they die because of a cold, maybe they were not meant to be. If they cant handle a small cold I wouldnt want to eat their eggs, their meat or breed them. If you show, they need to be able to get over this stuff.
If anyone needs antibiotics, they all need them IMO.
