How to keep track of chicken progeny in incubator?

You can put them all in the same incubator, especially since you said you have dividers for it. You just have to mark them when you collect them, and then divide them at lockdown.

The incubator manual says to remove the divider three days before hatching. I wouldn't think that's really necessary is it?

Ahhhhh, are you talking about the turner, and calling it the divider? You remove the turner three days before hatching.

You can make dividers though. Can either cut and bend hardware cloth (1/4" or 1/8" wire) to make little upside-down baskets, or buy plastic canvas and tie it together in a grid formation.

I guess that's where I screwed up. Putting eggs from different hens into the same incubator. Lesson learned.

You can do it if you divide the eggs in the incubator. Unless your incubator is too small
