Thought I would share this in case it helps. I looked around online and didn't really see a solution.
I was trying to find something that I could use to keep my little chick from scratching her eye.
You know the cone collars that all dogs and cats get after surgery?! Well something similar....wasn't sure it would work.
We came up with the following idea which seemed to work sort of well from our perspective, not Daisy Janes!
I first tried this with a thin little wash cloth rag that I had. This proved a little too heavy for her and Daisy Jane would topple over (not sure if she did this intentionally to get us to remove it or what....but it worked....we took it off!)
I went back to work and instead of the wash cloth used a paper towel that is kind of like a very light cloth.
What I did is fold it into quarters and then cut a tiny little piece off the tip (to make hole for her head). Cut just a tiny piece as you can always make it bigger.
I then rounded the square edges and shortened it so it wouldn't drag and cause any tripping.
I made sure that there was an opening at the back end for obvious reasons and then pinned it at the top.
She didn't really like it and you have to watch them. She is in my office in a guinea pig cage so I can keep an eye on her. It has stopped her from scratching her eye and we are hoping that with a day or two of this it might get better on her own.
I've included a few pics in hopes that it might help someone! My sister Lisa is helping Daisy Jane to pose for pictures and I was working the camera.
