How to know if chicks are internally pipping?

None yet. I can't see into the other one that was late. The two that are due to hatch today have movement. Crossing my fingers they'll be able to hatch and not upside-down! I'm more nervous about this than when I had my two children!

That one didnt fully absorb its yolk either.
Sometimes candling you can tell, most times you cant until they externally pip, then you will know and keep an eye on it.
If these others are due today, there is hope.

I’m going through the same thing. Day 25 and one egg hatched on day 23 almost 24 and they are 4 eggs that have been candled with movement inside. I even see internal pipping in at least one. We have a Janoel12 with an hygrometer-thermometer probe inside. Temps at 98.4 and humidity is 69%. Not sure how much longer to let them go. I was told if there is movement to let them just hatch it out 🤷🏼‍♀️

I hope the best for you!

One of my chicks has now been pecking at the air cell for the past 8 hours. Is this normal? How long does it usually take? Should i be doing anything to help?

I hope the best for you!
Thank you!! I think I’m going to have to crack one open that is cracked. It got cracked at the wrong end and chick hasn’t had movement in a few days. I’m new to this too, so I’m terrified. You were brave to crack your little one out.

Thank you! I definitely had shaking hands and had hardly any idea of what I was doing after researching for days leading up to this. I hope everything turns out well on your end.

You have nothing to lose at this point. When it gets on to day 23 i usually start cracking the air cell open and taking a look. By that time something is wrong.
