OK this is a crazy question, but does anyone know how to make a cake that chickens would like?

Cinnamon(my Red Star hen) is having a belated birthday party this Friday! Her birthday was sometime last month and she turned 1 year, but I thought it would be fun to have a little party with her other chicken friends.

It will include a scavenger hunt, worm or grass eating contest, presents, and cake.

Yes, our chickens are very spoiled!

So I was wondering, how can we make a birthday cake fit for Cinnamon that is simple, quick and easy to make?

Thanks for any ideas!

Just for fun, this is Cinnamon(sitting next to Marty, the RIR rooster) and her sister, Linda.

Thanks!

Well, Marty DID have an awesome comb...not since last winter. This is what happened:

Today the black parts fell off and now he has a comb without points, all thanks to frostbite. He also lost most of his toes.

I wonder how we can prevent that this winter...

I would think you could use regular vanilla cake mix maybe ice it with yogurt and sprinkle some cereal, corn or oats on top. I would make a small cake though.

Can't go shopping this week to buy cake mix though, so how could I make it homemade? Don't you mix like oil, egg, flour, and milk together or something to make the dough?

I was thinking of also taking grass and sprinkling it on top, too.

Cinnamon loves grass!

Oh and maybe instead of a cake, I could make them more of a dessert...like I could take veggies, fruit, cooked eggs, grass, etc. and mix it all together to make a salad. She would love that! I could put all her favorite things in it.

Oh, poor Marty!

I had a rooster that had a frostbit comb, too. He was a Leghorn, but he basically had a little bump for a comb.

I know you can rub Vaseline on their combs and wattles to protect them from frostbite... Could you put a light out there for them, too?

Now back to cake making...
