My Silkies are in my layer pen with Large chickens and do fine.
They have even raised Large babies that grow up to be mom's best buddies.....It is sooo cute when the LF tweeners still try to cuddle with little momma who is way smaller than them.
I do not think it is size as it is personality. Blueberry has raised 2 broods since she started laying eggs and is very fiesty for a Silkie. No one messes with her when she has chickies in tow; however, Rita is my space cadet and is almost too mellow. Rita helped raise Ruby n Kim who are LF BLR Wyandotte pullets. They still hang with their mellow mom from time to time. Almost like they are checking in.
One thing I have noticed watching my flock is that brood mates tend to stick together the most. Your girl lost her buddy system when you lost the other 2 Silkies.
You could try taking out one of the more mellow bantams to be in the same pen with her and see if they would form a new buddy bond.
If it does not work then get a couple of new buddies.
