How to make a super neat chicken.

This is not a GLW.She is a mix from the layer pen but she looks just like one with a single comb.

This girl looks like a rose comb RIR or actually better yet a red wyandotte but she just a mix of either my SLW or BLRW hen and my RIR roo.

Check out that real nice 21 week old Buff Orpington cockeral behind her.

She's very pretty. That is a mix I can do because I have a RIR rooster and a couple slw and blrw pullets that are chicks now, but coming along.

McMurray messed up a few times accidentally giving me roos when I ordered hens, but you know they do that and this time it worked out because I got roos of breeds that I would like to be able to have more babies of. For example, I ordered 2 phoenix pullets and got a pullet and a roo, no problem, I'd like to breed them. I also ordered 2 pullet blrw's and got a pullet and a roo, no worries there either, I'm actually quite excited to see how the roo turns out to look, so I have a breeding pair! I also ordered a black jersey giant pullet and got a roo... guess he's gonna be a big guy!

Oh well.

I will try and make a super neat bird by corssing my Serama roo with Seabright hens. They are not laying yet, but when they do I will hatch some out and see how they look!

Very neat thread. It should be called Recipes for Chicks! lol. Anyways, we are keeping a buff orp roo and an EE roo and then our hens are buff orps, australorpes, dark brahma and EEs. Does anyone have any buff roos crossed with Australorps or dark brahma hens? Curious as to what we would get.

I have more pic updates!

Here is the pair of dun laced.

Here is a bad pic of a crele phoenix cockerel, will try to get better pics. He is from a crele OEGB roo on light brown phoenix hen then that female on LB phoenix cock, this was a sexlink, females were light brown with blue legs, males were crele with white legs.

This is a pullet from the F1 dunlaced rooster I posted earlier on a BBR OEGB hen.
