How to make my geese nicer

I have African Geese. They are 6 months old. I have 1 gander and 1 goose. They protect my ducks. Now here's my situation. My gander keeps on attacking my wife. She keeps on wanting to kill him. How can I make it nicer so he doesn't have to die?

We had to do this to Frankie once and awhile he needs a little refresher course. Usually all we have to do is speak to him sternly if he looks like he is going to try something. He knows what comes next.
