How to mark chicks?

The chicks in the bator right now are from one cockerel and two to three different pullets. (one egg is larger than the others so it may be an odd egg or from another pullet all together) I want to mark them somehow so I know which one came from which hen. I have the eggs marked. What is the easiest way to do this?

ETA: Without buying two more bators!

Some people put leg bands on them, using different colors.

I've heard of people using a magic marker on the feathers or a safe non-toxic paint.
