How To: Nesting Boxes & Egg Laying

We are new to this. I SO understand if people think that we are doing things wrong, but hey! That's why I joined the forum and am reaching out. We want to do this right.

I've attached photos of my coop and our nesting boxes. (We have to clean it out today so don't mind the drippings). I am wondering how we make this a comfortable place for them to lay or if there is anything we can do to make the nesting drawers more appealing.

Please! All suggestions and comments will be appreciated and more than likely put into action. Thanks in advance

They look great to me and convenient to clean! Are they not using them? I had to put sides and a top on mine before my ladies would use them They like dark and super private. All chickens have different preferences I'm sure

Sure, but all the latest business studies point towards using an open floor plan for higher productivity.
