How To Pick Up A Duck? Video Anyone?

I can pick up most of my nice Muscovies by holding them under my arm but in my experience the meaner ones are easier to grab by the wings..but you do have to be careful. I usually only had to hold them long enough to put them into a box or crate for transport to their new home.

I have to say though, I couldn't imagine picking up one of our geese with the underarm method, they're just too fat!

With my drake I pick him up by holding down his wings and then wrap my arm around him so he can 'sit' on my arm while snuggled into my side... or front when im covering him with kisses. Basically hold him like a football as mentioned before. I think ducks always prefer it when their legs arent dangling

I dont pick up my duck often... well not when I'm walking. She is a bit fragile lol.
Basically my duckies always like the foot support other wise their legs just keep going!
When I'm carryin my drake down to the dam (hes tucked into my side like a football) well, ya know how scovies heads bob when they walk? As I'm walking his heads bobbing away, while taking in the scenery at my side
