Hi. I'm taking my muscovys to "freezer" camp today. Is there a proper way to pick these guys up? I am aware of the inner claw on their legs and such. I've heard that you pick them up by the base of the wings??? I'm not too sure of the technique involved here. Thanks for any advice.

I was told base of wings, but that seemed mean and left legs wings neck and beak to lash out at old owner. i just scoop up using same arm to hold legs down or against them while pinning wings between that arm and your side, and grab head pinning neck against me with that arm. Some say use towel to throw over then grab, but tried and it was shredded first time, use a thick big towel. you could just grab head and put sock over maybe, as nltice when i putz with mine (they tamed down in week or two after hassling and finally bribed female with worms as male was easier and allowed petting and holding after days only), if i cover eyes/face they just go completely submissive, or scratch between wings and neck (mine go limp temp whem do this and just plop and sprawl). if they're not tame enough to get close you probly could use grabber to grab legs then just quickly pin wings ect.
