How to Protect a flock from Coyotes

So, for those who want to have your chickens free-range but are worried about coyotes targeting this is the answer!
Electric fences work very well but you have to deture predators. The simple and easy method is to put bacon grease on the fence then electrify it, the coyotes will lick it and get a nasty shock. Henceforth, they will not come near the electric fence and your birds can free-range safely.

Good plan! Last fall, a strong electric fence stopped all raids on my chickens.
