I have a crazy hen that needs to be stitched up the towel over the head did not work and I will not take her to the vet because they don't see birds what over the counter fairly cheap meds can I use?

You have to hold her wings to her body and securely wrap the towel around her body a few times. Secure with a clothespin. There should be enough overhang to drape over her head. She won't be able to go anywhere if you wrapped her securely. I usually use a thin towel, not a big thick one. Easier to handle.

I can't really do that because she needs to be stitched under her wing and on her back.

Use a pair of scissors to cut an opening in the towel where you need to stitch. Use an old towel or even old sheet.
