Yeah, when I let the birds hatch I spend a lot of time with the mother so she doesn't turn into a demon raptor and attack me. Most of my birds liked to be held then go through a teenage stage where they don't want to be around me or scared of me, then when they lay all they wanna do is be in your lapI bought my chickens as older pullets, they were anything but used to humans. After spending time with them, they eventually would eat out of my hands, but it took a lot of time. I only hatch chickens with broody hens, but when the hens are protective, there is almost 0% chance of succeeding to make the baby chicks used to hands xD
I’d say they are about 3 or 4 weeks. But it’s always debatable.About how old are the chicks in this video? I am raising chicks for the first time (I usually bought pullets) and I am trying to learn what I can!
