How to reintroduce a duck

Our male duck had an injury he has been separated for about the last month we are ready to reintroduce him. He is the only male we have 5 girls. All the ducks are are 13 weeks old and have been together since day 1 except for the last month. What's the best way to reintroduce him to the group of girl ducks?

Have them side by side, separated by a fence for some number of days. Give them treats all at the same time. Watch, and if they seem comfortable near each other give some supervised time together, and go from there.

Some shoving and feather pulling is okay - more than that, break them up and try again another time.
