how to say welsummer

All Germans say Velsummer because they pronaounce the W as v and cannot say the w normally. vhere have you been? when they say the alfabet, the w comes out "vau" just like the french cannot say the h, its allo and not hallo, hommes is pronounced ommes.so dont take over someones lack or bad habit, just because it is commen. Commen does not mean it is right.

??? If this missive is in response to mine, I'd like to suggest that all -- ALL -- languages make adjustments when they adopt names or foreign words, as they also do in German. These adjustments include both spelling and pronunciation (cf. Moskau/Moscow - Moskva, Venezia-Venedig-Venice, Genf/Geneve/Geneva, and in pronunciations even when spelling is maintained: German spelling England ('englant' vs. 'inglend'). In general, people who insist on pronouncing foreign words the foreign way are often regarded as snobbish show-offs.

All i am saying is that baronrenfrew was wrong saying its a german name.. But it does make sense as the welsummer is also adopted in apa sop as the german style or spinn off of welsummers. I do not think any dutchmen were involved there. There is no right or wrong in how to pronounce it. The welsumer is created in holland and we in holland say it the same way is you do in the states. Simple that is.

I should ask my Dutch friends. I asked them once about a breed of dog I met and it took them forever to figure out what I was saying because of how I stressed the word. LOL! I am an absolute beginner in Dutch myself and find the rules of pronunciation very difficult.
