These are just a few nuggets that i have picked up over the years.
1. Never chase a customer if they're truly interested they will come to you.
2. Know your birds' worth and stick to your prices. If people complain they're probably cheap skates anyway.
3. If you've got someone coming for pickup go out to check pens and birds before they arrive to make sure everything looks good. Presentation is 3/4 of the sale.
4. Don't give discounts way to easy for people to take advantage of.
5. If someone asks for a ton of pictures, tons of questions, and then says "let me talk to my husband/wife/fiance/SO" just block them they never buy anyway.
