How to spot leg problems in Ducklings??

nayeli, please don't apologize. Duck rearing is full of unknowns and a steep learning curve.

My short first answer about a hobble - I don't know. I don't know that that is the best kind of support for what may be a slipped tendon. Clint, it you're around, have you had experience with devices to help this condition?

Certainly, I would use water therapy as much as possible, given we don't want to wear the little one out. And nutrients that Speceider mentioned.

Let me see if I can scare up any better info.

@nayeli , I think we have something here.

They are going to be OK, give them a little bit of vitamins Poultry Drench is very good, give them a couple of drops per day, I don't think it's broke because he's able to use the toes or his flabby feet, if he fell off the couch, then it could BE very very sore. the one actually looks like his stands on it, it goes to the side but he's able to use it. he wouldn't be able to do that if it's broke. The other one i would be more concerned about because he keeps holding it up..Although i can see he moves his flabby foot, he's avoiding putting weight on it.

Leg issues take a while to heal, i would take a pill of Vitamin B complete drop one in a quart of water and give him three drops of poultry drench each day. See if that doesn't help. If it's Perosis from what I have read they don't use the leg at all.. these two guys are using them just not putting a whole lot of weigh on them.

Right now they are both cuddling with me post bath time =) Poor guys

I also picked up REPASHY SUPERVEGGIE last time I was in Petco. It says its an all in one herbivore supplement but I'm having a hard time finding all of the vitamins and minerals. I'm starting to think its all in one for like gieko's. Anyone know? It said herbivore so I got it as a booster for the chicks, ducks, and my rabbits (I haven't given it to the chicks or ducks though, I wanted to ask first.)

Well, I think we have several ideas and some optimism, here!
Well the problem can easily be solved by if she gives them Vitamins and after a week or so there's no improvements, then Perosis could be the corporate. i would definitely try the vitamins first though..

It's odd why both would have the same problem, did they both fall off the couch??
No just one, I just notice that one is MUCH worse than the other... perhaps the video didn't show that or your confused following the one with the leg issue. One of them barely uses one of her legs and scoots along sometimes.
