We baught a used LITTLE GIANT STILL AIR incubator and it came with no directions but did come with a automatic egg turner and it doesn't have the vent plugs. We know that we have to st it up 24 hours ahead of when we put the eggs in, what does the temp and the humidity have to be? Any other info will help greatly

go to the web site for GQF and they have very good instructions for current and older incubators.
Also, alot of us have experiance with some kind of LG or Hovabator
so we can help...just ask away and we're here for ya!!

vent plugs aren't the only way to plug a hole. Anything will do. You can just set an old envelope or business card or any old thin over the hole, and you can cover the hole partway or halfway or all the way and have a lot more precise control that way. (If no one else messes with your stuff.)

i have the same incubator and i have to say it is easy. mine was also a used one this is how i did it : i kept a little water in it to keep the humity at 30-40 and temp at 99.9 -102 (i don't have a egg truner so i had to trun the eggs 3 times a day.) and on the 18th day take the egg truner out and fill the water holders with water and kept the humidty at 70% but remember not to open the lid after the 18th day and they should hatch.
i just put 20 more eggs in the bator on the 28th this will be the secound hatch the frist time i used it i had 15 eggs and 13 hatched. good luck!

how do you tell humidity? We have the same incubator with automatic egg turner, it has a thermostat, but no humidity reader... can i put my eggs in tonight and get one tomorrow? (some of my eggs have been waiting until saturday to go in....
