How to stop a broody?

Yep, one of my ladies went broody on me. The trouble is, I don't need any more chickens right now and I only have one nesting box. How to I get Broody Lady to stop being broody?

Just don't let her sit on eggs if you don't want more chickens, or use frozen golf balls or a dog kennel to cool her off.

First things first, remove eggs from under her as soon as possible. Also forcing her from the nest often. I had one wanting to get broody and i had to go out there a few times a day, take her out of the box, and put her outside with the others. She eventually got the hint and forgot she wanted to brood, lol. I see some people recommend putting fake eggs under them, but that seems quite dumb to me. It seems it will only encourage them to sit more if they have something to sit on. Maybe not, but id think so.
