Person I know of works at an office building and was bringing a couple dozen eggs to work a week for another employee. The eggs were getting placed in a common fridge in a lunch room and were frequently dissappearing. Security was not much help as it was said to be a staff problem not related to company affairs or property.

Idea was hatched to plant a dozen eggs that had visited an incubator for a bit but may not have been developing well. Sure enough they went missing and it was the last dozen to go missing.

So cruel but so effective.

My first thought was

. My second was

. I can just imagine the look on the thief's face!

I'd have been a bit worried about making someone sick or tramatized and getting sued or something. These days might have just set some looney off too. But looks like it was a risk worth taking.

I can't get my head around how people (adults with good jobs) steal right out of the lunch fridge. I think it was even a secure worksite so everyone should have been security screened or escorted.
