How to stop chickens from sleeping on the window!!!

I have a window on my chicken coop and 4 of my 19 chickens always sleep on the window, the window is hardware cloth and there sleeping on the edge of it so its a really poopy area. the edge of the window about a foot higher that the acutal roosts. any ideas on how to stop them from sleeping on the window edge???

Sounds like they might want to be up higher. Try raising the roosts to be as high or higher than the window ledge.

is there anything i could put on the window edge, cause making the roosts higher isnt really an option for me-

What about some sticky double sided tape or something similar. U might have to replace it frequently, but it might work.

staple hardware cloth on the inside of the window blocking the ledge for them to perch on.
