So far only 4 out of 12 are developing.
They are about a week along. The other eggs are looking to be not fertile. For me I found that letting them rest for the 24 hours before putting them into the incubator helped. But I also usually let them sit in the incubator for a day or two in the carton without turning before starting to turn them to try and give the air cells a bit longer to attach.
With this last batch I checked the air cells before I put them in the turner. When I saw they seem to have no movement I decided to put them in the turner. If they had moved I would have given them a few days more. I have read that some people will let them sit for up to 4 or 5 days in the incubator with out turning to let them finish their attaching. Other thing that could have happened is they could have also gotten scrambled pretty bad in shipping.
How far along are they now?
