My son is incubating eggs for a science fair and I can't manage to get a good pic of him candeling the eggs. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Depending on the type of camera you have, you may not be able to. It's just beyond the scope of what many cameras are able to capture. If you have manual controls on your camera bump your ISO as high as it can go and slow your shutter speed WAY down, you may want to prop the camera on something stable (or use a tripod if you have one) to help with blur. The stronger the flashlight you use, the better off you will be.

A tripod is a must when taking pictures in low light condition. You will need to bump up the ISO and increase your exposure. A fast lens such as f/2.8, f/1.8, or f/1.4 is recommended. BTW... the fast lens is for DSLR camera and not for point and shoot camera.
