How To Take Better Photos Of Your Chickens

Okay, so I got some gridlines on Photoshop!

How do I make this picture look better?

Ooooooh peacocks!

So the rule of thirds also works not on the grid lines.

you could have an image where the entire main subject of the photo lies within one of the entire third columns.

on your first image I would suggest maybe putting the entirety of the peacocks head and chest inside the far left column.

thirds are about two things.... where the eye is drawn to... and also perspective/space. That 1/3 to 2/3 positive/negative space is a naturally pleasing arrangement to the viewer. (This is why items are visually grouped in threes for merchandising and decor)

on the second photo I would crop into the face, keeping the face at one of the four intersection points of the grid. There are an endless array of sizing and cropping you can do but keep the face in a point and it will be great. Experiment with a close and further crop with the face on each of the four points before determining the final look...
