lol......geese are cleaner than ducks coz they are easier to free range, they let you know when someone or something has turned up and touch wood i've not had a fox,badger or hawk problem. they trim the grass nice too.
mine even sort my dog out who was a terror for killing choox.

i just got my pony but had to give summit up for my other half to be happy....my choox so maybe you could tell him you'll cut back on something?

yes, love them, my kids can even go in the duck yard with the geese, all they do is look at you, the ducks make more noise, its great fun watching the geese in the pool right after we fill it

As far as the noise and mess, I'd say my geese are actually MUCH quieter than the guineas. Seriously, I don't think ANYTHING is louder than a gaggle of guineas.

And my geese aren't any messier than ducks. They're about the same mess wise.

Hand reared geese can be very tame and they are the friendliest babies you'll ever raise. I love my big, crazy Africans, but your father might be more receptive to one of the medium sized breeds with more mellow personalities. You might check into American Buffs or Pilgrims.

Yeah I agree on nothing is louder than guineas, but thay are quiet most of the time.

Does anyone have basic raising geese.
