How to tell a new hampshire red from a rhode island red?

Thanks for the ID.

I am loving having chickens. So do production reds start laying earlier than regular non production reds? (fingers crossed) hehehe

Oh and here is another pic of agnus who I thought was a guy because she was bigger than the other two. Agnus is the lighter colored one of the 3. The other two are even darker red one even has green sheen off of her wing feathers. Agnus is the pick of the litter though and she knows how to strut her stuff.. check her out!

And they have awesome personalities. I had one that used to fly out and come to the door when she wasnt fed at the same time every day. Good luck with your RIRs!! (would a production rir be a prir?)

yours are production reds! but since you asked... Here is a new Hampshire red!

They are a scarlet red/orangy color with black lacing feathers around the neck normally and black tail.

I love this breed so much I have a whole flock of NHR for just laying however they do not sell well because everyone wants those RIR. NHRs are a wonderful good brown egg layer and are a good butchering breed too and mature fast!
